Vietnam Expo 2019 set for December

December 4-7 expo in HCMC to feature 900 booths.

Vietnam Expo 2019 will be held from December 4 to 7 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 7, aiming to attract foreign investment and promote the local market through multinational trade promotion.

The largest Vietnam Expo to date, it will have ever with 850 businesses from 20 countries and territories participating, covering an area of 10,000 sq m in 900 booths that will connect with about 20,000 visitors over the course of the four days.

Countries and territories to be represented include the UK, India, Taiwan (China), Germany, South Korea, Hong Kong (China), Indonesia, Malaysia, Russia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, Switzerland, China, and the US.

Vietnam Expo 2019 also features specialized expos.

Of these, the Hardware and Hand Tools Expo is expected to have 400 booths, an increase of 30 per cent compared to 2018. It aims to accelerate the development of the mechanical engineering industry in general and increase the competitiveness of domestic enterprises in particular. Leading brands from Japan, Germany, Spain, the US, Europe, India, Taiwan (China), and South Korea will attract visitors with quality, style, and features.

The Vietnam Electrical Appliance Expo, meanwhile, will help visitors link with more than 100 brands from two wealthy provinces in China, Guangdong and Zhejiang, and aims to promote new product models for 2020 with environmentally-friendly technology, energy savings, integrated voice control, and body temperature sensors. Famous corporations such as Sichuang Electric, Lijie Electric, Dingrun Electric, and Weiwang Technology will participate.

The Garden and Landscape Expo will introduce experts and individuals who love to beautify life by changing and improving the living space around them.

In addition, although there will be some changes, the International Pavilion has been maintained. The South Korean pavilion has more than 120 representative enterprises from cities and provinces that are industrial and technological centers, such as Suwon (Gyeonggido), Incheon, and Daejeon. South Korean businesses are also expected to strike new deals with Vietnamese partners, as there were about 850 direct transactions at the same expo in 2018.

The Indonesian pavilion boasts a display space themed “Indonesian Color”, with trade partners and consumers having the opportunity to access high-quality products such as prepackaged foods, over-the-counter pharmaceuticals, and Indonesian cosmetics. The pavilion aims to promote market expansion, provide connections with Indonesia’s fast-growing industries, and enhance links between the peoples of the two countries to achieve bilateral trade of $10 billion by 2020.
